These older manuals are superb reference books no matter what machine you may own.I've only used change gears once on my machine but was very pleased with the results.I wish that the newer machines incorporated some of the features of the 618 like spindle indexing.While this may not be a surprise to you I have wound many magnetic loops in my day.Nothing like a steerable 160m array that fits into a suburban lot.Driving back home today after a morning of errands and there was a little old man tacking up some yard sale signs on the the corner.
